Our Walk Around Baabdat

Admiring the view of Beirut from a hilltop near Broumana and Baabdat.

Our friends, Jimmy and Madeleine, invited us up to their home for brunch. They live just outside of Baabdat, a town about a 45 minute drive into the foothills from downtown Beirut.

Among other things, Jimmy is a talented photographer. He took these shots of Megan and Jane during brunch -- they are some of the best mother/daughter photos that we have!

The brunch provided a great opportunity to stretch our legs and take-in some of the best views of Beirut that we've seen. Our walk in the hills around Baabdat led us to an abandoned monastery, which added to the mystique of the scenery.
