Meeting Jane

The Morris grandparents couldn't stand it. Our emailed pictures home didn't satiate their desire to meet Jane, so they made the trip to Lebanon to see their third granddaughter.

Their week-long stay was characterized by three main things:
  • First, rain. It rained for five straight days, only clearing up for their last two of their visit.
The Corniche at sunset, when the rains stopped.
  • Second, Volleyball. Their visit coincided with the end of the Varsity Girls Volleyball team, the team that Wade coaches. They happily cheered the team on to a third place finish in a two-day tournament.
Carter, Hampton, and Jane, with some volleyball going on in the distance.
  • Third, Hampton's enthusiasm for walking around, meeting Beirutis, and taking pictures of civil war-era buildings.

Hampton, photographing the Holiday Inn, one of the most obvious remnants of the Civil War.

But above all, the visit was about Jane. Needless to say, it was hard for the grandparents to say goodbye.
