We're leaving Beirut for the summer! All the bags are packed, the apartment is clean, and we have a few hours to kill before our 3 am flight. So we just walked down to the Corniche to catch our last Mediterranean sunset until we get back in August. It's a quiet evening in Beirut - everyone seems to be catching their breath after weeks of non-stop World Cup.We can't wait to be home. But before we get Stateside we're off to Croatia - from one recovering war-torn country to the next.
Safe travels! I am guessing that Croatia won't have any better guardrails than Lebanon.
ReplyDeleteIn addition to seeing the "layers of history" in Croatia if you have the chance to snorkle while in Lastovo it looks like it might be glorious.
